Ulrik Foldager is a Partner in the Standards organisation body LEADing Practice. He is the VP of Enterprise Management Standards, and is responsible for managing the LEAD Center of Excellence (CoE). He is specialist in modelling and architecture, and is a certified LEAD Sustainability Analyst, LEAD Process Architect and LEAD Enterprise Architect. His innovative and unconventional ways of thinking have enabled him to embrace the concept of “thinking outside of the box”. This is due to his areas of expertise and specialization and his unique way of communicating complex scenarios of information into simple models and visualizations that are easy to grasp and comprehend – a powerful personal skill and capability that enables him to convey complex information to stakeholders and management across all levels of the customer’s organisation.

In this book, he has contributed to making sure that not only does all of the various sustainability subjects relate to each other, but also with specifying how they interlink for the reader. He was part of a group of 70+ experts that have for 5 years researched, analysed, categorised and classified various sustainability concepts. This was done so that you – as a reader of this book – can better understand the workings and mechanisms of sustainability best and leading practices, but also to detail worst practices and antipatterns, so that we can learn from past mistakes and use the information to improve our work. In addition to this, he has been a major contributor to the development of the Sustainability Lifecycle, the Sustainability Innovation Barometer, and the Sustainability Portfolio Model. In 2014, Ulrik Foldager left an incredible mark on the global stage through the publication of his immensely successful book, “The Complete Business Process Handbook: A Comprehensive Guide from Process Modeling to BPM.” Renown organisations such as SAP AG, Airbus, American Bank, BASF, BAYER, LEGO, Novo Group, the German Tax Authorities, and many others, have sought his expertise in contributing to the development and improvement of standardised practices.
